Don't worry

Time

There is nothing to worry about, people often say.

Are they right? Is there really nothing to worry about?

You could spend all your life worrying about things, worrying about the future, what future may bring, but worryin, especially about future, will not change it.

I remember reading that quote that someone was worring about many things throughout his life and most of the things he was worrying about never happened... How about that for a perspective?

(I think this may have been Mark Twain)

Worrying is thinking about things in the future. About things that may or may not (usually don't) happen in the future.

And let's not confuse worrying with planning (for the future). If we are planning for the future, we are actively thinking about the steps we are going to take in the future. It's worrying when you are immobilised in this moment about something that may or may not happen in the future.

Often, the society nowadays encourages worrying. We are being told that if we care about someone, we should worry (about them).

And the sad thing is, so many people spend so much time worrying, without realising that worry will not make things better.

So please stop worrying, at least a little bit. Try to worry less. Try to worry less often.

To your new life. To your new journey.

Peace & Love,

M.
